As a researcher and lecturer at the University of Cádiz (UCA), specifically within the Department of Business Organisation and the Institute for Sustainable Social Development (INDESS), my daily work revolves around a fundamental question: How can businesses – especially in the tourism sector – innovate and grow sustainably in an increasingly hyper-connected world?

Why this blog?

The bridge between university research and the business fabric is often perceived as too long or complex. This blog, "Montañés-Del Río: Frontiers in Business Management", is born from a commitment to Scientific Outreach. My goal is to translate rigorous academic findings into actionable insights for entrepreneurs, students, and professionals.

What will we explore?

Throughout my academic career—from my doctoral thesis on the innovative propensity of tourism entrepreneurs using GEM data to my recent systematic reviews on gender and entrepreneurship—I have focused on the drivers of competitiveness. In this space, we will delve into:
